AS THIS ISSUE prepares to go to press, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America have just announced the Nebula Award finalists and F&SF has two stories on this year's ballot: "The Liar" by John P. Murphy (March/April) was nominated for Best Novella, and "The Long Fall Up" by William Ledbetter (May/June) was nominated for Best Novelette. Please join us in congratulating them and all the other nominees.

David Erik Nelson made his first appearance in F&SF in the July/August 2014 issue, with a hard science fiction story "The Traveling Salesman Solution." He returns next issue with "There Was a Crooked Man, He Flipped a Crooked House," a novella about an old mansion in Detroit and a new danger that resides there. Over the next few issues, we'll also be bringing you stories by 2016 Hugo Award-winner Naomi Kritzer, Peter S. Beagle, Gwendolyn Clare, Gardner Dozois, Robin Furth, Rahul Kanakia, Marissa Lingen, Michael Swanwick, and a brand new novelet by SFWA Grand Master Samuel R. Delany.
